1. Overview

Herb Library ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your personal information when you use the Herb Library mobile application and website (herblibrary.co.uk).

By using Herb Library, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. If you do not agree with the terms of this policy, please do not use the app or website.

This policy applies to all users of the Herb Library iOS application and the herblibrary.co.uk website. It was last updated on 4 August 2026.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Account Information

If you create an account, we collect your email address and a password (stored in hashed form). Your name is optional but may be collected if provided during registration. This data is stored securely in our database and is used solely to authenticate you and manage your subscription.

2.2 Subscription & Purchase Data

We use RevenueCat to manage in-app subscriptions and purchases. RevenueCat may collect your device identifier, purchase history, and subscription status. We receive a RevenueCat user ID and subscription status โ€” we do not receive or store your payment card details. Payment processing is handled by Apple and/or Google.

2.3 App Usage & Analytics

We collect anonymised analytics data about how you use the app โ€” including which screens you visit, how long you spend in the app, and general usage patterns. This data is collected via our internal analytics system. It cannot identify you personally and is used purely to improve the app experience.

2.4 Device & Technical Data

We may collect technical information such as your device type, operating system version, app version, and crash reports. Crash and error reporting is handled by Sentry (see Third-Party Services). This data helps us fix bugs and ensure app stability.

2.5 User-Generated Content

If you use the Formula Builder or Ask Herbert features, the content of your formulas and chat messages may be stored locally on your device and/or transmitted to our servers to generate AI responses. We do not sell or share this content with third parties.

2.6 No Health Data Sold or Shared

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data or any health-related queries with advertisers or data brokers. Any wellness content you interact with in the app remains private.

3. How We Use Your Information
